A free intro call
Twenty minutes on the phone or video with our intake coordinator. You describe what's going on in your own words. No forms, no assessment, no pressure to book.
MANN is an unhurried therapy studio on 12th Main, Indiranagar — and online, wherever you are. Individual, couples and teen therapy with psychologists who speak your language, at a pace that is actually yours.
If you or someone near you is in immediate danger, or thinking about ending your life, please reach a crisis line now. These are free, confidential and answered by trained people, 24×7.
MANN is an outpatient studio. We do not run a helpline and we cannot respond to emergencies over WhatsApp or email. For medical emergencies, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital.
Most people who walk into MANN have been managing quietly for a long time. A job that stopped feeling survivable. A marriage running on logistics. A sixteen-year-old who stopped talking at dinner. None of it looks like a crisis from outside.
We opened on 12th Main in 2016 with two therapists, four chairs and a rule we still keep: nobody is rushed. Sessions run fifty minutes, notes are written between them, and we cap how many people each therapist sees in a week so the eleventh client of the day is still met properly.
We practise from evidence-based frames — CBT, ACT, EFT, person-centred and trauma-informed work — but we choose them to fit you, not the other way round. Where medication may help, we refer to consultant psychiatrists we actually know, and keep working alongside them.
What we will not do is promise outcomes. Therapy is not a cure and it is not a script. It is a slow, specific, sometimes uncomfortable process of being understood — and for a lot of people, that is the thing that changes.
Pick whatever is closest. It doesn't have to be the whole story, and it doesn't have to be the right word — we'll take it from there together.
Nobody signs a package. You are not committing to a year of your life by making one phone call — the first conversation is genuinely a conversation.
Twenty minutes on the phone or video with our intake coordinator. You describe what's going on in your own words. No forms, no assessment, no pressure to book.
We suggest one or two therapists based on what you're carrying, the language you think in, and whether you want a room or a screen. You choose — and you can change later.
The first two or three are about understanding, not fixing. Together you set what you'd like to be different, and how you'll both know if the work is helping.
Every six to eight sessions we look at it honestly. Sometimes that means spacing out. Sometimes it means a psychiatrist joins the picture. Ending well is part of the work.
Research keeps finding the same thing: the relationship does most of the work. Tell us three things and we'll show you who in our team is likely to fit — then you decide.
Every therapist here is RCI-registered or holds a recognised postgraduate qualification, and sits in fortnightly supervision. Photographs are of our practitioners; client details on this page are illustrative.
Looking for medication support? Dr. Aniruddh Bose consults as our referral psychiatrist — we can arrange an assessment alongside your therapy, and the two of them stay in touch with your consent.
A tiny, private tracker. Pick how a day felt and give it one word. After a few days a shape appears — and a shape is a much easier thing to bring to a first session than "I don't know, I'm just off".
Which day are you logging?
How did it feel, mostly?

Log a couple of days and a gentle read of your week will appear here.
Illustrative only — this is a noticing tool, not a screening or diagnostic test.
Everything you enter stays in this browser tab. Nothing is saved to a server, nothing is sent to your therapist, and closing the tab erases it.
Requests come to us on WhatsApp and are confirmed by a human, usually within a few hours during studio hours. We only ask for a first name — the rest can wait until you're sitting down.
You are allowed to want your life to feel different, even when nothing in it is technically wrong.
Written on the wall of Room 2 · MANN, Indiranagar
We took a 1970s house off 12th Main and kept the wood, the courtyard and the noise of the street outside — because a room that feels like a room is easier to talk in than a room that feels like a hospital.
We don't publish full names, photographs or details that could identify anyone. These notes were given to us in writing, and any specific detail has been changed.
I came in convinced I was being dramatic about work. Four months later I have language for what was happening and I sleep through the night. Nobody once told me to just be positive.

We booked couples therapy expecting a referee. What we got was someone who slowed us down enough to actually hear the other person. We still argue. It just doesn't end the same way.

My son wouldn't speak to me for most of Class 11. He agreed to try MANN because the room had floor cushions and nobody made him fill a form. That was the whole beginning.

After my father died everyone kept saying he had a good innings. Here I was allowed to say it was unbearable, in Kannada, without anyone flinching or fixing it.

The sliding scale is why I could start at all. I was on a stipend, and they never once made me feel like the reduced fee bought a lesser version of the work.

When it became clear I needed medication too, they arranged the psychiatrist and stayed in the room with me for that conversation. It didn't feel like being handed off.

Fees are per session, in rupees, and are the same online or in the studio. We don't sell packages, we don't charge joining fees, and you can pay session by session.
None of this replaces therapy, and none of it is a treatment. They are just the practices our therapists find themselves suggesting most often.
Ten minutes, one page, no editing and no reading it back. Most people find the third page is where the real sentence shows up.
How to startCubbon Park, Lalbagh, or just your own lane before the traffic starts. Movement plus daylight does something no amount of reasoning will.
Why it helpsHold something warm and name five things you can see. Crude, unglamorous, and reliably useful when your body is well ahead of your thoughts.
Try it nowShoulder to shoulder beats face to face. In the car, on a walk, while cooking — the conversations that matter rarely survive being scheduled.
Read the noteFour counts in, seven holding, eight out. Do it four times. It won't solve anything — it just gives your nervous system a moment to catch up with the rest of you.
There's no signboard on the road. Look for the wooden gate with the tulsi plant, take the stairs on the left, and ring once. Autos know it as the lane behind Chinmaya Mission Hospital Road.
Nobody has ever been talked into therapy by a website. If you'd rather just ask a human something first, message us — we'll answer as ourselves, not as a sales team.

Yes. What you say in session stays between you and your therapist. We keep brief clinical notes in a locked, access-controlled record, and we do not discuss you with family, employers or anyone else without your written consent.
There are three narrow exceptions, and your therapist will name them in your first session: a serious risk to your life, a serious risk to someone else — particularly a child — and a court order under Indian law. Even then, we tell you what we have to share and, wherever possible, do it with you rather than about you. Therapists also discuss anonymised case material in supervision, which is standard clinical practice and how the work stays safe.
There is no threshold you have to cross. People come to us in the middle of a breakdown and people come because something has been mildly wrong for two years. Both are legitimate uses of a therapy hour.
If you're weighing it up, the intro call exists exactly for that. Twenty minutes, free, and we will tell you honestly if we think you'd be better served elsewhere.
Not by us, and not by default. Psychologists and counsellors don't prescribe. Many people work with us for months without a diagnostic label ever being useful.
If your therapist thinks a psychiatric opinion might help, they'll say so plainly and explain why. Seeing our referral psychiatrist is a conversation, not a prescription — you decide what happens next, and we keep working with you either way. Please consult our doctors before starting, changing or stopping any medication.
For most concerns, clients report it works comparably — and it removes the two things that most often end therapy in Bengaluru: traffic and time. About half our sessions are online.
In-person tends to suit trauma work, couples in high conflict, and teenagers who find a screen easier to hide behind. Your therapist will tell you if they think the room would serve you better.
Yes to both. Couples sessions run 75 minutes with both partners present. For under-18s, a parent or guardian consents to the work and joins a short check-in every fourth session — but the sessions themselves belong to the young person, and what they say in them isn't reported back line by line.
Tell us, and we'll move you. It is genuinely not an insult — fit is the single strongest predictor of whether therapy helps, and no therapist fits everyone. Switching within MANN costs nothing and you don't have to explain yourself.
Honestly, we can't tell you at the start, and anyone who quotes you a number is guessing. Some focused pieces of work settle in eight to twelve sessions. Longer-standing patterns take longer.
What we can promise is a review every six to eight sessions where we ask, out loud, whether this is helping — and act on the answer. We don't guarantee outcomes and we don't claim to cure anything.
Cancel or move a session up to 24 hours ahead at no cost. Inside 24 hours we charge half the fee, waived once a year and always waived for genuine emergencies. Payment is per session by UPI or card, after the session, not before.
We are an outpatient studio with scheduled appointments, so we are not the right service for an emergency. Please call Tele-MANAS on 14416 (free, 24×7, 20 languages) or iCall on 9152987821. If there is immediate danger, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department.
Once you are safe, we would very much like to see you — and we prioritise appointments for people coming out of a crisis.
